A Farmer's Life...
A farmer, I am not. But perhaps my kids will be?? We've been spending time in avocado grove central (i.e. Fallbrook) while our flooring is replaced in our home. So, what better way to pass the time then to play in Papa's garden!

Rylee is infatuated with picking the fresh vegetables - carrots, squash, tomatoes and corn. Picking them is one thing, eating them is another!

This picture is sweet in so many ways. The way Ty is holding his firstborn, the look of pride on his face, and Rylee's picking satisfaction, of course. The peach wasn't half bad either!

Summer is Here!
There's something about the smell of sunscreen on your kids' skin and warm sunshine on their faces that make a mom's heart melt. I love summer and all that it brings (except the intense UVA/UVB rays that promote the breakdown of collagen and elasticity of skin but that's the esthetician in me speaking). This summer will be even more magical than last... Now Ty and I will be watching two cute bikini buns in the pool! How lucky are we?

The generation before...
Mothers, aren't they the best? So much wisdom, insight and discernment from which to learn. I love looking at these pictures of my mom with her granddaughters for reasons I can't articulate. Perhaps because I'm witnessing two varying generations - one filled with legacy and one with uncertainty. Since becoming a mother, I appreciate mine so much more. I no longer take for granted the countless endeavors she tackled in a single day of motherhood. Food preparing, diaper changing, potty training, bath drawing, back scratching, hair twirling...all in a day's work! But, she did it with finesse, poise and an incomparable strength. If I'm lucky, I'll impart half the sapience to my girls as my mother bestowed upon me.
